What People Are Saying

“Our daughter began attending Small World over one year ago and since her first day there, she has bounced out of bed when she learns that it is a preschool day. Small World is a wonderful place for young children to take an active role in learning. Using thematic units, Miss Tasia and Miss Julie structure the school day in a way that children feel comfortable exploring new concepts and making important connections to the word around them. Our daughter has felt like an important part of her Small World family because of the sense of community that is the foundation of this program. Miss Tasia and Miss Julie gently encourage the children to become independent and responsible members of their learning community. We feel confident that our daughter will continue on to kindergarten with the skills and experiences that will ensure a wonderful school experience.”

“Small World is incredible. Preschool is all about the teachers, and here you have excellent experienced teachers with an unbelievable ratio. The environment is nurturing and loving, my son blossomed with his speaking and pre-reading in a play-based environment. He loves it every day, and asked to go an additional day. All of the spaces are the prefect size for preschoolers. He loves discovering in the courtyard, music days and the field trips to the library next door. He talks about his teachers and the curriculum at home too - he is just so excited! I can't say enough good things - Small World is a gem.”

When my only child was ready for preschool, I looked at a dozen schools in the area. Small World was the best in terms of student-to-teacher ratio, teacher experience, and space. On top of that they were a great value - one of the two most affordable. With group activities and circle time break outs, my son has learned to build relationships with his peers and to be part of a larger class. I love the visits from enrichment programs like Mass Audubon - Joppa Flats, that the outside play area is an enclosed courtyard, and that the children participate in multiple charitable events throughout the year. My son loves the music class with Miss Jill, raising butterflies from caterpillars, and staying at lunch bunch with his friends.

Small World provides a great community. If they want to, parents are able to participate by reading books, leading crafts, or sharing their own expertise with the class. I am so glad we choose to send our son to Small World. It has given him an excellent foundation for his education and interest. He can’t wait to go to kindergarten to see whats next!”
